Update On Sahpra Media Release Regarding The Warning Of Selenium And Zinc Picolinate-Containing Products For Children

We have formally engaged SAHPRA regarding its recent media release on Zinc Picolinate and Selenium products for children, noting that it was issued without consultation or supporting safety data and does not constitute an immediate recall. We remain confident in the safety of our products when used as directed and will provide further updates following our engagement with SAHPRA.

Namibia (NMRC – Namibia Medicines Regulatory Council)

The NMRC will not recall Zinc Picolinate and Selenium-containing supplements, which remain legally available. The public is advised to use these products responsibly, consult healthcare professionals, and report any adverse events as monitoring continues.

Botswana (BOMRA - Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority)

BoMRA confirms there is no recall of complementary medicines containing Zinc Picolinate and Selenium, which remain legally available in Botswana. Ongoing safety monitoring continues, and the public is advised to use these products responsibly and follow label guidance.
